ABOUT ME

After having worked as a secretary for over 15 years, it was time for a change. I sold my apartment, quit my job and started traveling the world. Since the end of 2005 I've visited many countries, enjoyed different cultures and met many amazing people.
In 2009 I first set foot in Mali (West Africa), where I now live with my Malian partner. Together we run a travel agency, Papillon Reizen. All the experience gathered while traveling is now used to create awesome experiences for our clients.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Japan I went for a coffee with Dessy & went sightseeing Nara with her and just loved it. Have surfed in Stavanger, Norway with Tore who I met in Portugal earlier that year. Since then I've been couchsurfing every once in a while and I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people through this unique initiative.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A four day solo hike in remote Greenland, camping in the wild, just me and nature.
Visiting Antarctica and some of the sub antarctic islands. Mind-blowing!
Spending time with families in Bosnia who lost everything, but humor, due to the war.
