ABOUT ME

My friends tell me I'm a friendly, easy-going, personable, adventurous and up for anything-kind of guy. I am probably over-enthusiastic about coffee (from roasting green beans to hand pressing my own fresh-ground espresso or aeropress). I love finding and talking about delicious food (or trying to impress friends by cooking it!), and trying to capture the wonder of life through my camera lenses.

My life has taken many unexpected turns, all of them teaching me to enjoy the chapter that I'm in while staying focused on where I'm headed. I am energized by sharing philosophy, culture, and ways of living with others. If my travel experiences have taught me anything, it's that there are many different, but good, ways to live a life. I get excited about understanding new cultures and seeing the relationships between languages and words.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I stayed with a couchsurfer in 2010 in new Zealand and had a great experience in Auckland.

I want to get to know the culture of where I'm traveling though meeting people of that culture. I've traveled all over the world and love the culture swap, sharing experiences with my host and learn about his/her country, language, and food (and sharing mine with my host of course)
