About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To leave this world better than how I found it

ABOUT ME

The first thing you have to know about me is that I don't like to talk about me :)

Since you have no other way to know me, I would make the effort: I'm a little shy the first time I meet people but then I believe I'm friendly, I love to laugh a lot, hopefully until I get stomachache and tears. I'm very sensitive so I cry a lot too but don't worry, I don't have a borderline personality, bipolar or anything like that haha.

I love to meet people from different cultures and absorb everything they have to teach me.

You live, you learn.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm so far of philosophizing successfully so I will go to the never disappointing Alejandro Jodorowsky and a story he once told (this is my own translation, so forgive my mistakes):

Once upon a time there was this village builed in the shaddows of a big mountain. The kids that grew up there were all undernourished 'cause of the lack of sun.
One day, an old man started to walk to the mountain with a little spoon in his hand. Some other guy ask him:
- Where are you going with that little spoon?
- I'm going to move the mountain - the old man said
- Are you out of you mind?! You will never be able to move it!
- I know I won't BUT SOMEBODY NEEDS TO BEGIN.

And that's what keeps me trying.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new at this but I think my biggest contribuition is the reason I became a member: I'm a journalist and when I first read about this "movement" I love it inmediatly and I said to myself: "more people need to know about this". So I made a story about it that soon will be published in the magazine i work in. Hopefully more people with join CS- at least in Concepción- after that.
Soon I'll get more real-couchsurfing-experiencie, I promise!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Great

Interests

I'm a person who loves to learn so basically, every subject interest me. Is not that I know a lot because I have a lousy memory but I love to be constantly learning different stuff.

Of course, there are some subjects that interest me the most: movies, environment, music, art in general, chocolates and icecream :)

Books: Jodorowsky's, El perfume, El principito, Synco, Mafalda (does that count?), the ones that Victor Bascur will publish (my boyfriend and the best chilean writer ever)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm one of those -sometimes annoying hehe- people who believes that a ray of sun through the window or hold my boyfriend's hand is as incredible as climbing the Eiffel tower or having a Mojito in Cuba, so I experiencie the "incredible" everyday.

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if there's anything I can teach you but I know I'm a great student (and listener). Sure I can show you and teach you something about the place i live in or the places I've been to, but I hope my best skill is to make you feel confortable.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
