I grew up in a city on the Belgian coast, Oostende. Therefore my heart has always stayed very much linked to the water. I couldn't be without it. I guess that's why after some stops in Belgium I ended up in Barcelona.

I love sports and hanging out with friends. During my younger years I did mostly soccer and some pingpong in competition. Next to that snowboarding is a passion. Nowadays I start to feel my bones so I do mostly triathlon and rock or indoor climbing...

An other passion of mine is dancing, I both love tango and salsa. I am not taking any classes right now but always open for a night out with some S American flavour :)

I studied for a long time (about 8 years in total) and lived in Gent, Brussel and Lisboa so far. Now I am working for an American company as an engineer since 2007 and I mostly spend my time exploring the world and the audiovisual arts.
My goal is to become a specialist in the European energy market and things related to fluidomecanics, renewable energy (mostly wind) and energy efficiency.

I mingle with CS'ers in many times and places: I hosted and was hosted many times. Also I like to participate in events now and then;

I 've got to know the concept through a friend I lived with in Lisboa. Nejc from Slovenia, great guy. He was a fan of hospitality club and I always enjoyed the company and the talks about our different cultures and experiences. A couple of years later I got to know CS and got sucked into it more and more...

兴趣

Making and watching films, discovery journalism, lots of different sports, painting (I paint since 4 years) and photography, music (see below), wine, languages, ... IF YOU EVER A GUEST IN MY HOUSE YOU 'LL GET TO KNOW MOST OF THIS LIST
I play a bit of guitar and am did some webdesign. Also love to cook, it relaxes me. As does yoga and time alone (or with loved ones) in nature, both on land or in the water (I love the beach).
Btw me and my girlfriend are real foodies and Bcn is just the place for it so just ask us for a hint if needed!!

Movies = MY PASSION
I love the movies of Gonzalez Inaritu, Clint Eastwood (as director!), Sam Mendes, Steven Spielberg, Michael Mann, Coen borthers, Tarantino BUT I also enjoy lots of international stuff: La vita e bella was great. Or stuff from Park, Zang Yimou, Karwai, Kim Kiduk(!), Truffaut, Jeunet, Almodovar, Meirelles, ...
AS AN ACTOR I like Brad Pitt, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes (4 her looks ;))

MUSIC:
Enjoy lots but am no name dropper: JAZZ MOST OF ALL but also rock, punk, lounge, house, electro, techno, spanish guitar, EVEN country when I am in the mood.

BOOKS:
I love picture books, detective novels and books with historical background. But mostly I read to address my curiosity and eagerness. I had different periods in my life discovering classical writers like Wilde or Hemingway all the way to Allende, Marquez and Zafon or even Murakami. I try to read as much as possible but lately my time is too limited or I make different choices. Too bad!

I can teach you the basics of juggling with apples while eating them or snowboarding (used to be a teacher).
I 'm also good in maths and film editing I guess. :)
