One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was 20 when I made my very first solo travel, and for some inexplicable reason I gamely headed to visit Karosta, Latvia, a town that doesn't see much Asian tourists.

Although there were a couple of hairy moments, my best memory of the place was when I ran with some young boys up and down a crumbling rock road leading out into the sea. They even showed me how they catch prawns and asked for my name … without a word of English spoken.
