I would describe myself as an easygoing and uncomplicated person. I believe deeply in the power of compassion and sharing with one another :)

Music plays a big part in my life and is perhaps my biggest driver. I play the guitar, handpan, and an assortment of percussion instruments. Not gonna lie, if it produces a sound, I'm probably gonna be into it.

The more I travel, the more I realize how the people you meet will always create stronger memories than just ticking off a bucket list attraction, and spending time with someone who lives in the actual place I’m visiting really adds a lot to my trip :)

And now that I’ve recently settled in a house where I can host people, I finally feel like I have the power to give back to this amazing community :) please check the “my home” section for that!

If it sounds good, I'll listen to it. Jazz, hip hop, techno... try me! BadBadNotGood, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, The Beatles, the list is infinitely long. I also know some cool Portuguese music that I'd love to show you!

Some movies that I find interesting: 12 Angry Men, Enter the Void, Mulholland Drive and In the Mood for Love. I'm a sucker for Wes Anderson, so Grand Budapest Hotel is right there at the top also.

Even though I love to read and write, I find it hard to maintain my focus for a long time so I have a somewhat troubled relationship with books ahah, but I'm working on it. Some recent faves include After Dark by Murakami, also Siddharta and Doors of Perception.

From local cuisine to a particular skill or passion from the host I'm up for learning pretty much anything, as random as it could be. For example, in the Azores I learned some random facts about pineapples: did you know they take 2 years to grow before you can eat them? Boom, knowledge.
