About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore the world, one couch at a time
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Vancouver and am currently working on a degree at McGill University in history and urban geography. I miss the mountains and oceans and fresh air of the west coast, but I love Montreal.
I try to cultivate kindness, generosity, and respect through my own actions and try to surround myself with people who live by the same principles.
I value peace and quiet and good health. I often would rather spend a Friday or Saturday night cooking dinner with a few close friends and going to bed early than going out late.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am planning to travel extensively in the next few years and I would like to spend a lot of this time couch surfing. I am looking to meet new people from a variety of backgrounds and broaden my horizons-- and isn't that what couch surfing is all about?
I am very interested in hosting people, though I am often very busy with school. I love playing tour guide, and what better way to do that than through hosting couch surfers?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None as of yet.
Interests
What do I do when I'm not studying? My interests include:
cooking, experimenting with various types of cuisines (though I must say that I have a preference for French cooking), exploring cities via food (are you starting to see a trend here?), food politics/the local food movement, architecture, urban planning, gender and sexuality activism, history (especially modern British and American as well as queer history), exploring all genres of music (my favorites are folk rock, 80s new wave, jazz, blues, and classical), photography, going to art galleries and museums, independent and foreign films, hollywood films, taking bike rides, playing tennis, hiking, yoga, meditation, and taking walks in nature.
