"Are you a funny person? Serious, contemplative, wacky, adventurous, whimsical?" -- Yup.

"Having difficulty deciding what to write?" -- Yup.

I love being outside, whether under my own power or strapped to an internal combustion engine. I love cooking, camping, and relaxing hard. Going as far away as possible with as little as possible used to be my favorite thing to do, but I felt like I was missing a lot that's already under my nose.

I've stayed on a couple of couches and cooked people some meals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had an excellent experience staying on a couch in Amsterdam. My host took the time to show me around the city and help me not to get lost. I still got really, really lost in Amsterdam. And a good experience in Paris, once.

Interests

Most anything that can be done outdoors. Fishing (catch eat and release), backpacking, snowshoeing, rafting, and camping.

Cooking is high on my list, from Risottos to roasts, to braised beef and brisket. Gardening is great when I have room to garden.

Talking is great too, I learn something new in every conversation I have.
