Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I just finished my post-grad/Masters degrees, so I'm broke! Haha but really, I would much rather meet and interact with local people who wish to showcase more than just the known tourist areas, as I love learning and experiencing new things. Those who tend towards the punk/alternative scene, to the front! But don't be shy, I travel often and am always looking for a reason to :)

Live music, nature sites, history, adventure, friends, pubs, food (always food), sports, animals, and making a fool of myself/laughter.

Music, Movies, and Books

Punk, alternative, top hits, rock, country, and jazz. My guilty pleasure is playing classical music while I drive so I don't yell at terrible drivers 😂
Favorite movie is Labyrinth with David Bowie (intense, I know), and I could read all day long if Barnes and Nobles wasn't so expensive.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Snuck backstage to have beers with Weezer. If you hate Weezer, I've also taken a Scotsman shot for shot, and won (yay, competitive females) 😈
On a more serious note, I've climbed the Great Wall during winter. It was not the smartest plan ⛄️

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching music, and I'm working on becoming a Life Coach outside of my full-time job. I find joy in helping others reach their goals, no matter how big or small. It's important to overcome your demons, and I love helping people achieve that.
With three bachelors degrees and two masters, it's safe to say I never want to stop learning. I think we can learn from every area in life, whether a 24hr stay with a stranger around the world, to a job you've had forever, there are always opportunities to better who you are.
Stories. I love sharing stories, my own or hearing others. I'm quick to open my heart to others, and quick to share hospitality should it be needed. I usually do not share food, or beer, but I'll buy you your own 🤓

What I Can Share with Hosts

Not your typical American, one who actually enjoys other cultures, seeks understanding, and offering up fun, humor, my experiences and a lifelong friend (met one on here in Scotland 6 years ago, still see him once a year!). I can also offer you a place in the U. S. Should you ever visit!
