To experience new situations and get to know the people in them. I want to immerse myself in another part of the world, and to support community and friendship between peoples of very different backgrounds.

ABOUT ME

I am a southern boy, born and raised in the Southeastern United States. I'm an undergrad student studying environmental science and ecology. I'm easy-going and friendly, or so I've been told, and I enjoy getting to know new people from new places.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to couch surfing, but I am excited to become a part of the community. For the moment my living arrangements don't allow me to accept travelers, but when they do I will eagerly. For now I am only looking for the opportunity to visit new places and meet the people who live there.

Interests

Areas of interest (incomplete and continually expanding): the environment and nature, sustainable living, biology, social and environmental justice, women's issues, oral history and traditional stories, folk music, non-folk music, and dance (especially social dances).

Activities I love: hiking, running, kayaking, dancing (swing, salsa, tango argentina, and others), playing guitar and mandolin, practicing kung-fu, reading, cooking, and hanging out with friends.
