I am a farmer, who sometimes makes art and is currently living in the mountains of North Carolina. I try not to take myself seriously. I love new experiences, and have a tendency to take on every project I possibly can. I am too small to ride the motorcycle of my dreams, but too big to be as amazing at hide-and-seek as I would like to be. I will gladly barter and trade. I love sweaters.

I try to jump on any adventure I am given the opportunity to be a part of, and meet as many new characters as I possibly can. I love growing my own food, and cooking for large groups of people. There is nothing more satisfying than a full table surrounded by friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been familiar with couchsurfing for several years now, and met some fantastic people through it. This network of folks has allowed me to surf through many different countries, on several continents. Both hosting and surfing has been great! I've met people through couchsurfing that have become life long friends.

Interests

I love silly games, stop motion animation, costume parties, and art projects. Dancing is my current passion. I can tan a hide, skin an animal, grow food, build a wigwam, and generally just try to have a grand time.

I am currently reading Woman Who Run With Wolves and Wendell Berry, and devouring all I can on farming.
Delicatessen is one of my favorite movies, as well as Alice, by Jan Svankmajer.
I have a soft spot for whiny female vocalists, as well as acoustic punk.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitch hiked over 500 miles in eastern europe with my sister.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to cook! Learning new recipes fills me with unending joy. I can knit and felt, and will hopefully be learning how to spin soon, too. I have a propensity for absurd games that I love to share. I love to dance. I can discuss farming and food politics forever, and would love to hear your opinion.
