Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES
A few important ones: I grew up watching The Blues Brothers repetitively and I am attempting to recreate the experience of The Spanish Apartment (L'Auberge Espagnole) while in Europe. Other French films which inspired me to travel and learn French include The Closet (Le placard), La Haine, and of course Amélie to list a few. Films by Gondry, Hitchcock, Ritchie, Wong Kar-wai and Tarantino.
BOOKS
Currently attempting to read El Principito and Orientalism.
Just finished reading the White Tiger by Aravind Adiga and two of Stieg Larsson's millennium books which I surprisingly enjoyed after distrusting their popular reviews (after all look at what movies and music is considered popular) Anything by Orwell.
MUSIC
This is where things get difficult and we are better off meeting as the list is vast. To name a few at random off the top of my head The Clash, The Cat Empire, Hilltop Hoods, Rage Against the Machine, Pink Floyd, Massive Attack, Sarah Blasco, Phoenix and Flogging Molly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing Uluru for the first time as the sun rose then watching water cascade off it the next day in a freak storm.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you that better Australian music than the stuff Kylie Minogue makes exists, help with English, how to pronounce "My Greek is not very good" in Greek and how to hold your breath underwater for longer.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Palestine, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, France, Spain
