I love to be outside, appreciating natural settings from beach-y environments to mountains (where I feel most in my element.) I adore bikes of all kinds, especially trail riding on mountain bikes. I am an active person in general, loving yoga, dance, hiking, running, and pick up soccer. However, I am also a nerd at heart: I recently quit my day job to plunge full time into my writing ambitions. I spend a lot of time reading books or magazines with a cup of tea (which I would love to share with you-- the tea and/or books!). I relish connecting with people, whether like minded or otherwise, and get along easily with all kinds. However, I am the sort of person who also appreciates alone time and solitude in healthy doses-- that's the writer in me I suppose :)

Hosting:
I frequently hosted in the past with my roommate (Kevin Quinn) but neglected to get my profile started until after we had already hosted a few folks. As a result, my friends/references are sparser than my experience. I neglected this site for a couple of years and now I am back.
** While I am unable to host at this time (in the midst of my own travels), I would be open to meeting people with shared interests traveling into Asheville if I am home.

What a list this could potentially be! I suppose you should just ask. I am a bookworm and movie lover with broad tastes. Music wise, I tend to listen to hip hop the most (I come from Atlanta!) but appreciate almost everything.

Right now I am far more interested in what I can learn than what I can teach.

Teach:
I have been told by friends who do not speak English as a native language that I am fun to converse with because of my diverse vocabulary (and love for language!) However, this is not an intentional "teaching"... more just a happy by product of great conversation :)

Learn:
how to go with the flow a bit more! I am laid back in a lot of ways but I also have a tendency to want to plan EVERYTHING. As I grow older I see that this streak holds me back from taking some risks so I'd like to learn balance with it.
