How do I fill this section… What I'm most interested in when travelling is getting a different feeling for life. A place does not have to be spectacular for me to like it (sometimes when I tell people that I spent 10 days next to a rather quiet national park, they look at me with big eyes and say: “10 days? There?!”).

I tend to like nature a lot more than cities, with a few exceptions (e.g. Naples being one of them). I like eating at local restaurants or getting lost in back alleys.

I like conversations, but proper ones, about “things that matter”, personal stuff, observations about oneself, the human mind and how it works, about passions (or lack theirof). Not much into smalltalk.

I feel like this and the other information in my profile describes me appropriately, but I will extend this section in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Some of the best recommendations and most memorable experiences on my travels came from real people, not from “8 sights to visit when in XY” lists. Without such recommendations it happens easily that travelling becomes the time spent in hostels, the local sights and busses taking one from one place to the other. I joined Couchsurfing to make my travels what they should be – new experiences, not just new locations.

I am currently travelling full-time and do not own a place. Once I have my own place again, I am open to hosting other travellers and give back that way.
