About Me

Hey i'm Moritz,
I'm doing things and making Stuff!
I think of myself as a communicative, easy-going person. I am always intrested in learning new things and collecting knowledge and thoughts from other people. That is why i love to travel: the combination of meeting other people, hearing new stories and seeing different landscapes, cultures and architectures. I love to cook, make music, draw in my sketchbook and working with my hands in the sense of crafting. I always want to try something new.

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much dig everything i can get hold of when it comes down to music and i can be a pretty big music nerd when it is about obscure bands and music genres: from Scandinavian Free Jazz, Italian Noise Rock, Indie- and Mainstream-Pop, Orthodox Black Metal, Powerviolence and Power-Electronics, Lo-Fi-Techno, Minimal Music, Dub, obscure Etho Music and early Electronic Music to name a few things. I really love the books from Albert Camus, W.G. Sebald, Soviet Science-Fiction(Lem,Strugatzki Brothers) and Franz Kafka. Also the likes of some philosophers and media-theorist: Regis Debray, Vilem Flusser, Slavoj Zizek, Roland Barthes....
I don't watch too many movies but the work of Andrei Tarkowski, Stanley Kubrick, Akira Kurosawa, Alfred Hitchcock really did impress and inspire me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning how to meditate.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about hacking your everdays objects to create something new and try to repair everything by myself, i like cheap and dirty electronics. I also know some stuff about open source computing. But my special field is probably music and music technology. If you are interested it would be a great honour for me to share my knowledge with you.
