ABOUT ME

I see myself as an artist. Although I dont do it for the living, art is the most important thing in my life. I like to create innovative ways to combine art, intereactions with people, and travelling, by organizing live art performances and itinerant international exhibitions. Everyone is invited to participate!

PHILOSOPHY

I belive in approaching new people with the heart and mind open, and a big smile. Why do I live my life? I feel I am in this world to make a little but significant difference expressing my way to see and live art.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just started in the CS Project, and I still have lots to learn about this wonderful system you guys have created! I want to participate actively in meetings in my area, and also in places where I am going to be in the near future, such as Andalucia in the South of Spain (Easter vacation) and California (summer vacation).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is the first time I am doing something like this, although I ALWAYS LOVED to meet and interact with travellers, I consider myself an open minded person, always interested to meet people from different countries and backgrounds.

兴趣

I am interested in all sorts of Art, specially painting and drawing. I am also interested in performance (cinema, theater, Art street performance, dancing). And of course, traveling!!

Movies> I love all the styles. I appreciate movies with a good script, not just fancy special effects.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I have been doing a really fun performance activity lately (I'll post some pics soon), where I get dressed in a kind of huge dress (Victorian style..or like the Meninas from Velazquez style), which I commissioned to an Italian fashion designer resident in Barcelona, specialised in Circus-fashion. Then, I attach prints of my paintings to it, using the huge surface of the dress as a platform, and I walk done different cities, here and abroad. My partner makes photos of me dressed like that in all the representative-touristic spots of each city! I have already done this in London, Cambridge (UK), several cities in France, Switzerland, and in La Alhambra at Granada (South of Spain). The idea is to continue doing this in as many cities as I can (also in California this summer) and do a calendar for charity with a selections of the best photos! So, I feel it is a really fun way to combine art, travelling, and sharing experiences with other people! I'll keep you posted in case some of you want to come and see me in my next performance!

I can definitely teach other surfers drawing and painting. And not just in an academic way. I am getting specialised at doing what I call Art-as-you-Go, where I do a big drawing in a public place, and use elements of my surrundings (for example, flyers of little business around...anything) to create a big and unique composition, combining drawing, painting and collage. And hopefully having some people walking by to pose for me for a few minutes, and later include that portrait my the big picture! I intend to do this in a couple of cities in California this summer. I have to train in Barcelona first! anyone is invited to come and watch+participate!
