I am an artist with a passion for travel. I love meeting people form all over the owrld and I love to go all over the place too. My goal is to provide a good safe comfortable place for travelers to feel comfortable and welcome. P.S. I love to cook too!

ABOUT ME

I was the child of a geologist and we were able to travel around the world, starting at a pretty young age. I love experiencing other cultures and being reminded of how alike we are in the most important ways. I love art and I love being spontanious.
I am originally from Calgary, Canada. I would really like to travel in Canada and maybe do some art work or workshops up there or just couch surf.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to find joy and contentment no matter where I am. I believe in trying to be compassionate and open to learning from the people I come in contact with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a young hippie girl in the 70's and early 80's I hitchhiked up and down the west coast many times. I guess you could say that was couch surfing, I certainly slept and many couches during that interesting time.

Interests

I love camping and canoeing, I love dancing and listening to good music, I play folk music and have for over 30 years. I love to be around my kids and grandkids. My grown up kids are both musicians.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent the summer last year in Alaska with my brother and his kids camping. It was my 3rd trip to Alaska. I love camping and I really love the northern part of thec ontinent.

Teach, Learn, Share

The kind of artwork that I do is pretty uncommon really. I have 15 years of glass beadmaking experience and I combine my glasswork with some of my mosaics. I studied Roman/Byzantine styles of mosaic making in Ravenna, Italy in 2001. I stink at gardening, but I'd like to learn because I think it's an important skill and I have a great garden spot.
