About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Looking to expand my circle and meet new friends.

ABOUT ME

I've been dormant on Couchsurfing for a handful of years, mainly because I worked in tourism for so long, I met travelers often and hosted as often as I could. Since 2019 and the new covid reality, I've switched careers and, as a remote resource, I rarely leave the house for social gatherings. I want that to change.

I drink socially, have very liberal views, and love talking about social politics, good conversation in general.

PHILOSOPHY

I've come to a general conclusion that I need to be useful to the world. The only passions I've ever had are playing music and biking. Two primarily selfish endeavors. But I still have this need to do something that will help improve the world around me. I'm almost there.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a family man, so hosting is out of the cards for the time being. But I always try to make myself available to show people around and be the type of host I hope I encounter when I travel. I am a strong believer in good karma.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went on a 3-month road trip with a few friends in 2008. The whole time we slept in our van and crashed on friends' couches. It's truly humbling when you meet people who are completely open and trusting of you. One couple in Brooklyn, who had just moved into their apt, insisted we crashed in their completely empty guest room. I was just thankful and it made the week all the better.

I've since had countless experiences meeting couchsurfers all over and have never had a bad experience.

Interests

Stand up comedy, Live music, horror movies, foreign movies, Rock/alt music/hip-hop/soul, conversation about social and political issues, drinking with friends and having a good time.
