ABOUT ME

I'm tall and bearded and have a few tattoos. I've been shooting photos for nearly 20 years. . . and I'm pretty good at doing that. I'm easy going and have no trouble getting along with people. Normally, when I'm travelling, I'm working on photos and writing so I tend to keep to myself, but I enjoy talking with people and learning about anyone I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

I know my time here is limited. It would be a shameful waste to not see the most I can of the world around me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wanted to participate in couchsurfing because some of the best experiences I have had have been when I show up to a strange city to meet new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am on a journey to spread my father's ashes and make art as often as I can. On this trip, I have ended up sleeping in a luxury hotel, a bookstore, a cabin out in the woods, at a bed and breakfast, and in a painter's studio on a compound in the center of Atlanta. I've only been on the road for ten days -- there's a lot of adventure ahead of me and I hope I can experience it with new great people.

Intereses

Riding my motorcycle when I can and making photos. I also experiment with some video editing and writing. I'm also interested in my cat. He lives a mysterious life.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I can show you how to light a portrait with reasonable skill. I can, in a meandering fashion, also explain the basic functions of cameras so you can figure out how to take better photos -- I can't tell you how many busted analogies I have used to explain shutter speed and f-stop numbers over the years.
