About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a 30 years old girl living in Paris for more than 6 years now. For my professional stuff: I am a freelance journalist since 3 years after 3 years in a press agency. I share my time between papers on educational issues for magazines, and rest of the time I try my best to travel abroad to realize some societal subjects mostly in the Middle East (Egypt, Libya, Palestine). I work with a photographer and friend to do as complete reports as we can. We have a lot of ideas and subjects to cover, but no much money :-)

Originally I am from Brittany. Paris is now my city, and I don't know where I can live elsewhere for now yet. Sometimes I hate it ( too much people), but most of the time, I really enjoy it. I love the potential of Paris: you can do so much things if you want it. What I love the most is doing inventive and found places I would never be think of before.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a sum of experiences, so live it. All experiences, even small or tough, are good to keep in the end (I hope!). Be as adaptative as possible, faithful for me and others, clear and honest. Challenge myself. And lots of laugh for sure!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have created my account because my best friend which I am closed in Paris Alexandre hosted a few CS and I spent time with quasi all of them, visiting, chatting and drinking beers together. Everytime, it was a different and enjoyable experience and talk. Then, I had the opportunity to experience it during a 6 months trip in South America And now I want to return the favor!

Interests

Cycling in Town, swimming in small and crowdy Parisian pools, dancing as a fool, finding old vinyles and old stuff in general, drinking red wine while watching films in parks, gathering friends of differents groups, talking politics with my family, preparing new and exciting subjects of reports, taking my old car to leave Paris, watching landcapes, people, streets, stars in the dark night, all u can watch! And laugh, lots of laugh!
Plus, I am a sea native: I love all that comes from the sea from eating oysters directly on the rocks, to snorkel in the Red Sea. Sea is where I am feeling the most comfortable.

Music, Movies, and Books

From Tribe called quest to Barrabas, Jah Wooble, Prodigy to classical contemporary music such as Philip Glass. And rock from all around the world.

Films
From Saw to Innaritu or Robert Rodriguez's movies to really romantics and tearful films such as On the road to Madison.

Series
Battlestar galactica, Homeland, Game of thrones, The shield, Treme, etc. Tough and social English series too

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cross the Sinai desert by car to El Arish checkpoint, frontier between Egypt and Gaza strip for my job. Hours and hours of sand, silence and immensity. It's not that incredible but it was really a moving and introvertive moment for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am pretty fund of languages especially English. I really like chatting in a different idiom, it is really like another point of view. I can also try to recover some words in Chinese as I study this language for 7 years... But it's a long long time from now on :-)

I am not the greatest cooker of the whole times BUT I can cook my speciality: a typical French dish known as the Tartiflette. In France, you eat it when it's cold and snowy outside as it's full of potatoes, melted mountain cheese, onions, bacon and white wine... Anti regime dish, did I tell you?

Countries I’ve Visited

Egypt, Germany, Libya, Taiwan

Countries I’ve Lived In
