About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Give Anthony Bourdain a run for his money!

ABOUT ME

Easy going guy; I've done a lot and plan to do a lot more before I'm through. I like eating, drinking, dancing, singing, meeting new friends, staying out light, sleeping in, cooking, learning, teaching, living, anything really. I live by the simple principle of respect.

PHILOSOPHY

If your happy, what else do you need. I have a wonderful fiancee, an exciting life, a good career. I have goals like most, but I am far from being overly ambitious. If I'm happy and comfortable, I will simply enjoy the scenery.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am living in dorm rooms right now, so I can't host anyone yet, but will as soon as I can!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couch surfed yet (I'm a newbie), but I have 2 months off in June and July where I will be throwing myself in the hands of the CS community. Needless, to say, I'm excited.

Interests

FOOD FOOD FOOD! I love eating, cooking, experimenting, and learning about food.

  • boxing
  • world cup

Music, Movies, and Books

Indie folk is my favorite, but generally can listen to anything except American country, music-wise. I love movies, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While SCUBA diving in Okinawa, Japan at night, I almost ran (swam) into a box jellyfish (I got a photo of it).
Swam in, slid down, and jumped off waterfalls all over the Kanjanaburi province in Thailand.
Ran out into the streets of London, shouting with excitement as the US scored against the UK in the world cup. Back packed around southeast Asia, and barhopped in Nashville.

Teach, Learn, Share

I learned that no matter how bad you are at their language, Thai people absolutely love you for trying. I find this to be the same in most countries, but not necessarily all. Also, in a family or friendly setting, there is no formal etiquette when it comes to eating in Thailand. Blow your nose, use your hand, share your spoons, nothing is taboo as long as you eat, smile, and be merry!
