CURRENT MISSION
Ride my current bike, an orange 2012 Suzuki DL650A V-Strom (WeeStrom in US), from Ecuador through Peru and ?, more of Brasíl, attend friends' wedding in Santiago, Chile in November, then return North, to return to Costa Rica for the dry season.

ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan I lived and worked in, or travelled to, 100+ countries, and sojourned to the world's southernmost and northernmost towns.
I have been traveling on a motorcycle for the last seven years in Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
I want to meet unique, free-spirited, folks.
I am a 6' 1", 190 lbs., Caucasian, non-smoker, BS & MA graduate (Ph.D./ABD), mostly retired educator/training consultant, social drinker, divorced, liberal, Taurus, with adult children.
I have learned to appreciate diverse viewpoints. My best languages are English and Spanish, but have adapted to others while being a minority in different places. I am proud of my grandchildren & Costa Rican son & daughter, but they live in North Carolina.
I strive to listen, understand & accept others, & be open to new ideas. I am impatient with bias (race, gender, age, culture, etc.) & US Americans who do not appreciate how fortunate we are.
I’m a vegan who doesn't care what others eat, but prefer to be around those who at least try to eat healthy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My small claims to fame:
1. Went to the second magnet school in the U.S. with Diana Ross of the Supremes. (happenstance)
2. Tried out to play ice hockey with the Detroit Red Wings professional team.
3. Have been fortunate to live and work in or visit 100+ countries . . . so far.
4. Spent nine months traveling from the USA to Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego, Argentina and back on a motorcycle by myself. I did the North to South America trip 3 times and am now residing in Costa Rica until I move to Panama/Ecuador.
