We live in a community named Zephyr with 4 other families, social pets, gardens everywhere in homes we built. Community and responsible care of relationships and our environment are cardinal cares of mine. Now that our 4 daughters are grown our home has room to share.

Once a traveler before kids and now traveling as much as possible, we want to share our place with others and create opportunities to visit other areas and create the most 'local' experience possible.

Lots and lots. Gardening during the growing season, making whirligigs, making yumcious meals with what's growing and exploring waterfalls.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Most recently in Thailand we spent a morning, alone, at Klong Thom Thermal Waterfall not far from Krabi. With a deep love of waterfalls it was pure joy to luxuriate in a 104 degree waterfall with pools. Bliss indeed.

Home is just a couple of miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, in the Appalachian Mountains 5 miles from the quintessential town of Floyd. It is quite here except for the sound of the wind in the trees, song birds and Seamus McCockle Doodle Doo, our rooster. The area is rich with options: traditional music, local foods, hiking, biking, wineries and more.

I'll be doing my own thing and will welcome you here, offer local info and a place to rest up, restore and explore.
