Traveling PhD student in the final year of a doctoral program in Educational Leadership and Policy in Beijing, China. I'm from a rural town in the Southeastern US, but I would like to think of myself as a global citizen. I've traveled, worked, volunteered, and/or lived in Guatemala (2x), Mexico, Puerto Rico (2x), Ireland (2x), The Channel Islands (Guernsey), Spain, and China (2x). Croatia is my next destination! Former Disney World employee, Dance instructor, and parachute packer (No pattern to be found there 😁). Speaking of parachute packing, at my former workplace I skydived a few times and soon plan to get my skydiving "A" License! I'm an open book so ask away!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What a great, organic way to engage in real conversations with local people during my travels in a domestic setting instead of an isolated hotel room! We have so much to learn from each other and it's awesome that we are provided with modern platforms for facilitating diverse interaction in a multicultural biosphere!
