ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Dan and I'm a 22 year old Sales Executive and have recently graduated from the University of Sheffield, studying a degree in Geography. I I currently live in london and cover South London as part of my job. I love traveling so this is the main reason why I have set myself up on this, its such an amazing idea to meet new and interesting people and hopefully even gain a few good friends from it. I have worked in cocktail bars and restaurants where my love for meeting new people began and has now turned my aim into travelling the world to surf the waves and surf the couches!

Interests

I'm a big fan of any extreme sports, from wakeboarding to climbing and anything that involves going to sandy beach! Newquay in cornwall is a favorite place of mine that I always try to make time for each year! there is nothing better than sitting on a beach at 3am with a campfire blazing, a beer in the hand and some surfer chap playing his acoustic :D

I have recently got into scuba diving and am currently have an Open Water PADI Qualification. In the near future I really want to get around the world and dive with new people!

Im not musical myself (even though i would love to be) but I do have a huge passion for music! I listen to all sorts as my taste always changes. Anything in the rock area is good for me but i'm also a big fan of the marley family and anything that you can chill out too.

My dream in life is to become a helicopter pilot and get involved in the avaition industry like my father and grandfather have done. Have only flown a few times so I am still a complete newbie to the whole thing but I'm very keen to get it going once university has finished. So if there are any of you out there who are keen to do the same thing or are pilots yourselves, please don't hesitate get in contact with me. Would be great to chat about other peoples ideas about it.

In general I'm a fairly laid back individual and always up for trying something new and different...it keeps life intresting!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2006, I was working as a ranger on a safari park in South Africa. Was driving along one of the routes one day and we stumbled across a dead rhino! we had no idea how it died so the head ranger decided we should do an autopsy on the thing to find out, with a chainsaw!! as disgusting it it sounds, it was possibly the most amazing thing I've ever seen. How many people get the chance to see the complete anatomy of a rhino? there was a chap there who had worked on the reserve for 50 years, who said that he had never seen anything like that in his life. I had been there for less than a week lol
