About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet fun people, see amazing sights, eat great food, and try new things.

ABOUT ME

I tend to get deeply involved with random hobbies for brief periods of time. I've collected pretty much everything under the sun at some point or another, and I've partaken in everything from model train set building to digital scrap booking. There are even a few things I'm well read on, but have never actually tried, like quilting and creating fictional characters in writing. Reflecting on it now, I guess I like things that involve meticulously paying attention to detail.

I am a vegetarian, and greatly enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've surfed a good bit and I've hosted a couple of times.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've definitely done more surfing than hosting, but I'm happy doing either and look forward to doing a lot more of both in the future. So far all of my experiences have been great.

Interests

I like a little bit of everything, but especially if its something that involves being outdoors. I'm big on running, hiking, camping, biking and geocaching, just to name a few. And if you've never heard of geocaching, I'd be more than happy to introduce you to it.

Beyond that, I like movies, especially seeing them on opening night, finding new ways to have fun, and spending time with good friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: If it's scary, if it makes you laugh, or if it involves chase scenes and things blowing up, I'll probably love it. I really just enjoy the cinematic experience in general.

Music: Country, Punk Rock, American Primitivism. I'll give anything a fair listen though.

Books: Almost all good young adult fiction, and even some of the stuff that's not so good. I'd like to say it's because I teach middle school, but I've enjoyed kid's books well before I started teaching the age group they were intended for. As for more adult reading, I tend to like narrative nonfiction and interesting memoirs.
