As Bukowski said: We are here to drink beer. We are here to kill war. We are here to laugh at the odds and live our lives so well that Death will tremble to take us.

ABOUT ME

I've been a merchant mariner on research vessels and tug boats. I'm currently turning a short bus into a RV/party bus that will have a couch in it to surf on. I love spending my shore time in Portland, and visiting my family in San Fransisco and southern California. I currently live a life where I can live at the whims of spontaneity.

PHILOSOPHY

My goal is to try and make every act in compassion. It's made me happier than I've ever been. I meditate daily on letting go of attachment to all things so that I can try and enjoy every moment without want or aversion.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm slightly handy, dish ninja, uke serenader. I have a nose for adventure and want to share it with you. Once I'm finished building my vagabond party wagon I'll have a couch to offer in it. So I'm looking to be a mobile host that takes people with me on road trips.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed couches in Portland, Ireland, Scottland, and England. These were all just people I had met places though. I couch surfed through the website in Ashland and shared a great time with the host and another surfer.

Too hard to choose. In Palenque we bribed the guards in the middle of the night to let us into the tomb of Pascal. I've groped through the blackness of Californian caves. I've slept on the beach in Findhorn, Scotland, held to be the haunting place of my great grandmother. I've sparred in the ring with a boxing Olympian. I've galloped a thoroughbred down Oregon beaches and over walls. I've shed blood for the gods in Tical. I've done a keg stand on a moving bus and fought zombies with with a chainsaw in Portland. I sang karaoke while spinning on a stripper pole in Chile. I danced salsa all night with a bartender in Costa Rica. I've sailed through the Panama canal, the Chilean fjords, and across the equator. I've cast my eyes upon the north star and the southern cross. Let's go find some adventure.

I know some knots. We could do some focus mitt drills. I can teach you some uke songs. a bartender in Costa Rica taught me some salsa. I'm hoping to learn more dance and be able to teach it.

I do a lot of cleaning at sea so I like to leave places nicer than I found them. I like to cook. Lately it's been american cuisine. I blew some British minds with gourmet white wine mac n' cheese. Beer stuffing muffins and burbon blue cheese bacon burgers were my last experiments. I like to get my food drunk before I serve it to people. The last couch I surfed was full of healthy eaters so I made sweet potato tacos with avocado yogurt sauce. I'm not the best cook, but people seem to appreciate it.
