I currently live in Wichita, KS with my husband, we've been married 5 years in July, no children yet. I recently graduated from Wichita State University majoring in MS of Geology and currently working for a independent geologist, it's a fun major once you get to learn it, all about the earth you live on and how it's become what you know of it now. I have 3 sisters, no brother, my family lives back home except my second oldest sister she lives with us and I'm so grateful to have her so near me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I learned about couchsurfing through a friend of mine, she hosted a couple French bikers biking all over the world. It made me very interested to become a member, however, I never got a chance to either couchsurf or host it yet, but hopefully, it'll happen soon.

Interests

I love any kind of sport, not necessarily does it mean I'm good at all sports but I'm good at a few, e.g swimming, volleyball, running. One of my past time activities is cooking, baking and spending time in the kitchen, enjoy myself hanging out with kitchenware and make something delicious, specially with a glass of red wine handy. Gardening has turned into a passion for me recently, I never had a chance to plant anything since I came to the U. S but now that we live in a house with a yard, i can experienced and experiment all new stuff, not only planting flowers but herbs and vegetables. Watchung movies and my favor TV shows after work is my other interest, love to watch movies with friends and have a little discussion about it afterwards. Of course, hanging out with friends and family has its own special spot on my heart.

I almost listen to any kinds of music, usually listen to it on radio while driving to/from different places.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I was back in Iran I taught English for about 7 years, loved teaching and meeting new people as little as elementary graders all the way to grown-ups. Learning other languages is so intriguing too, I tried to learn Spanish and French too, did pretty well but you know gotta practice to make perfect, I have no one to speak those languages with here, so I've lost a lot of it.
