I'm a russian-speaking estonian jew, married to a latvian, residing at the moment in Zurich. In general I'm a friendly, open-minded guy with a wide variety of interests, a family consisting of my wife and a 2-year-old son, a job -- and a limited amount of spare time as a result of all three :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've hosted a small family of 4 surfers in Tartu, which was a positive experience. Also I have such a number of relatives in so many countries, that it can be passed as a smaller version of a CouchSurfing network..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked for too long on Usuzan (Volcano on Hokkaido), missed the last bus and hitchhiked to the nearest train station, without understanding a single word of Japanese

I have moderately extensive knowledge in computer science in general and machine learning/computational language learning in particular. Also some knowledge on pregnancy and linguistics and some practical musical (guitar, piano) and handicraft skills.
