About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I do online work with my laptop. This "laptop lifestyle" or being a "digital nomad" is the way of the future for many people. That way we can live and work anywhere, for example in a quaint house in a quaint village while enjoying a rural lifestyle.

ABOUT ME

I come from Reseda, California, US. I have a university degree in botany and have worked in different fields including forestry and polling.

My most recent career is an English teacher. Currently I do online tutoring and blogging.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmmm...That's a very good question. I suppose everyone should pursue their goals. This means they should be and do whatever they want and journey wherever they want, as long as it doesn't harm the environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I have just one experience Couchsurfing, I have volunteered at various farms through WWOOF (www.wwoof.ro) and Helpex (www.helpx,net) in Romania and Bulgaria.

The volunteers stay in the hosts' farmhouse or home and do farm chores for about four hours a day and get accommodation and meals.

It was a good way to experience traditional village life.

Interests

My interests include reading, writing, blogging and walking in forests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favorite books include "The Silk Road" by Peter Hopkirk, and books by Jared Diamond and Brian Tracy such as "Create Your Own Future".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering on a farm in Brestovitsa, Bulgaria. I and other guests helped our host on her farm. The village is quiet and relaxed, surrounded by hills, woods and bisected by a stream. But there were three small shops --- and most importantly --- internet access!

Teach, Learn, Share

We can get involved in learning and teaching different languages online: www.italki.com/teacher/1138564?ref=1138564x
