About Me

I am a Colombian, who loves to share his language and his culture. I really enjoy coffee, whiskey, running in the morning, reading, train and play with my little dog Tinto, and most importantly helping my students achieve their goals. Someday I hope to write a book about my city, Pereira, the heart of Colombia's coffee region and about teaching Spanish.

I am an entrepreneur and I have a specialty coffee shop in the city of Pereira, Colombia and a Spanish school for foreigners where we teach online and in person courses to people from all over the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in couchsurfing because I want to share the events and experiences that we manage from my business to all the travelers and foreigners who visit my city, such as language exchanges, live music events and much more.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once when I was in college I was in the middle of a protest against the privatization of public universities and the riot police cornered me and started beating me. So I was able to back up to a nearby car, use one of the police shields as a foot boost and jump on the car and then run down 4 streets with the police behind me trying to shoot me with their rubber bullets. Was a crazy day. hahaha

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a university degree in Spanish and literature and I have a scholarship to study my master's degree in Cultural Studies. I have been teaching Spanish to foreigners for 4 years and I have a team of teachers that I have trained to teach Spanish in the best possible way.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share knowledge about Colombia and a space specially designed to learn Spanish and exchange languages with locals, native speakers of the language
