Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've participated in both sides of couchsurfing, and both are pretty great. The people who were generous enough to host me made it possible for me to travel across the country, and hosting people in Paris has given me a chance to see the city again by sharing it with others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2011, I used couchsurfing for wandering across the US with my friend Karen. We made it through about a dozen states and always had a place to stay. It was awful swell. Now I'm looking to return the favor karma-wise by hosting people.

In 2012, I couchsurfed across Europe and had an absolute blast meeting new people and learning about the places I was passing through. Staying with someone who is originally from the place you are is a completely different and better experience than staying in a hostel or hotel.
