ABOUT ME

I like to travel, probably why I like this site. I have traveled to many places and lived in a few of them. Meeting new people and learning new cultures and languages are some of my favorite things.

PHILOSOPHY

Live to the fullest, learn for the sake learning, contribute to the body of knowledge, always have your passport handy, and let the unexpected happen.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This site has some of the coolest people I've ever met. Having hosted and surfed all over it wouldn't be the same experience without couchsurfing.

Interests

I am an ecologist by profession, and passion. I study all taxa possible. Currently, my research interests have led me to investigate larval fish assemblages, instream flow and the effects on spawning, and activity patterns of a state threatened fish here in Texas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on a kayaking trip in Southern Senegal in mangroves of the estuarine coastal area. I was with my best friend and we camped out on the shoreline one night with a couple of beers and could hear the hyenas as the sun was setting. It was one of the most incredible experiences that I shall not soon forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy science mostly and practice it on a daily basis. If you want to learn about freshwater fishes, aquatic ecosystems, lizards, desert ecosystems, and general ecology... we can talk about that! If not, then we can talk about anything else as well.
