I play jazz, rock, and blues bass.

My favorite programming languages are Haskell, Ruby, and C.

I like intelligent discussion on most topics. I love jamming and making things. I hate politics.

I get along better with the average hobo than I do with the average college student.

PHILOSOPHY

Students make the best teachers; the best way to learn is by doing; and the most important thing we can do is improve our understanding of ourselves and the systems we create.

I think the world would be better if we fired all the politicians and replaced them with engineers.

I'm well-versed in math (analysis very much, algebra less so); computer science (algorithms, operating systems, F/OSS software and development); and cognitive science (neuroscience, linguistics, and discourse analysis).

I'm interested in learning more about music, programming languages, cellular/evolutionary biology, electronics, and systems.
