我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm on CS thanks to my friend Queralt, who is a very outgoing person and definitely an extrovert. She discovered CS in 2012 and since then she shared the website along with her experiences in this community.

What made me stay on CS, even though I have not been a very active member since I still live with my parents, it's the idea of sharing whatever you can give with those who need it, be it a couch, be it a ride, be it a drink. I think everyone has something to teach us so I love listening to enthusiastic travelers, my ears are eager with stories and I'd love to hear yours!

Well.

I love many things, and despite I'm not an expert in any of those fields, I really enjoy videogames, boargames, RPG, ARG, any games in general. I think I have to treat the little girl in me who refuses to stop playing.

I enjoy walking around the city, cooking (be it alone or with friends) and then sharing the meal, languages, animals, tea, scuba-diving, writing... well, anything, really. I usually am a very upbeat person and very easygoing, though I am kind of an introvert in small groups of people I can be at my finest.

I love reading though lately I haven't done it on a regular basis.

I might say my favorite author is Chuck Palahniuk, but that is only part true. Mario Benedetti is fighting hard to try to take him down, and sometimes I find myself wondering whose book I love most fondly, or whose advice would I take on a specific matter. For all I care, I enjoy reading as much as I enjoy warm feet on winter. A LOT. (Other authors I like are Huxley, Orwell, Asimov, Max Brooks, Murakami, Fante, Mendoza...)

My favorite music bands are the Pixies and Modest Mouse, I couldn't tell which one I love the most. But I like a wide variety of music ranging from classical to rap music. I really think there's a tune for every mood and situation. I enjoy Arctic Monkeys, The Postal Service, Los Campesinos!, The Smiths, Kasabian, The Strokes, The Kooks, Good Shoes, Queen, Ugly Casanova, Lana del Rey, Feist, Regina Spektor, and many many others.

So far I have three movies which I think that are my favorite ones: Amélie, Into the Wild, and Fight Club. Each one provides a very different but powerful message that has inspired me in some way in my life.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I volunteered for an association for kids with Leukemia, trying to make people lose the fear of bone marrow transplantations by providing information in different places. I somehow managed to make 30 people sign up in the donors database in 3 hours. It may not seem much, but that day, it made me real proud.

Also I've scuba-dived inside a ship, and during the night (not on the ship, but still).
