I am a teacher in a college in North Bengal and spend half my time in Kolkata and the other half there. I am also a research student at Jadavpur University in Kolkata working on Latin American cinema.

I have begun to travel outside my country only recently and I feel the best way to learn about another country is to meet people from there.
I was recommended this website by a cousin and thought I should give it a try. I haven't actually used it much as yet but I will update my experiences on couchsurfing.com from time to time.

Interessi

Since I am on this website, it is needless to say that I love travelling. I love talking to people, learning about their cultures and ways of life. I am not into partying hard so won't be much of a help when it comes to the nightlife of my city. Music, food, plays, old buildings and art are things I am interested in.

Musica, film e libri

I am quite a fickle kind of a person and my tastes change very quickly. I love Hindustani Classical music with a particular leaning towards the instrumental. The sitar and sarod are particular favourites.

My favourite movies...very difficult to say. Singin' in the rain maybe.

Books books books.......I love reading and again I have a lot of favourites but my all time favourite writer is Galeano.
