To absorb as much art, architecture, recipes, drinks, culture, and language I can before returning home to pour out some new work.

ABOUT ME

Well we all love to travel. Thats why we are here. But some other things about me that are relevant. I love to ride motorcycles around the Pacific Northwest of washington state. I love to cook for the people in my life. Its the best way to tell people that they are special to you. I love music (especially electronic since I was 14) and I have a huge library of music at home including new and old vinyl. There are some gems in those bins.

I love the unknown. That is evident from the current trip that I am on. I like to be dropped into a city and have to figure things out. I believe I have exceptional street smarts. Now i just need to learn some other languages. Thats one of my goals for 2011. Spanish lessons are first on the list.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my current trip I arrived in Venice by train just as the sun came up. There were no tourists awake or out yet. There was no one but a few street sweepers and me. I absorbed as much as i could knowing that in an hour it would be a much different place. One that is dominated by non local people and it would not feel real. It was really beautiful. The bakeries arranging their cases. Cages starting to prepare drinks for people. And the sound of my boots echoing off the narrow walls of the streets.

I will remember that the rest of my life.
