ABOUT ME

I believe that travelling and meeting new people are one of the most essential things for a person who wants to extend her/his horizon and grow up personally. Each travel could teach you that we are different and we are the same at one time. It can show you new ways of spending your leisure time, try new recipes and, in general, give a penny for your thoughts. I do think that the time spent or distance of your travel are not so important, as the fact that there was some courage to leave the comfort zone. Hence, there is always a reason to travel, and if it is not enough, I could remind phrase of Mark Twain: "twenty years from now you you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do".

So far, I have been travelling mostly in Europe, apart of one time that I went to visit my friends in Mexico. Before going to every country, I try to learn some basics phrases such as "hi", "how are you?", "Thank you", that could help me. I like having a list and checking all the most important subjects of the city as well as to know local culture.

I have friends in many parts of the world, because of my studies at two universities (Murcia, Spain and Vilnius, Lithuania), hence I am open-minded and down-to-earth. Originally I came from lovely small town Utena, Lithuania and right now live in Luxembourg.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with couchsurfing in Belgium, Sweden, Mexico and France. I had really good experience: everybody was very friendly and open. Once I hosted two persons in Vilnius, Lithuania and we became friends that we still keep in touch after some years. I have also gone to some Couchsurfing events in Lithuania and Poland.

I really like listen to great music, especially live lounge performances (such as BBC Radio 1 provides). I love Ben Howard, Stromeo, Amy Winehouse, Sam Smith, Carla Bruni, Nicole Scherzinger, also such singers as Bill Withers, John Lennon, Buena Vista Social Club and many others. The Piano Guys that play instrumental music was one of the best musical discoveries of 2016. I love cello sound as well as jazz blues.

In 2016 at the company I used to teach Lithuanian as a foreign language. I enjoy watching TEDx talks. I have also volunteered once at TEDxVilnius, Lithuania.
