“I am not afraid to fail, to get lost, to dream, to be myself, to find. I am not afraid to live.”
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Back in the 2011 when I was still young I had bought my first Ryanair tickets to Bergamo and just then have I realized I should also find some accommodation. I heard about CS before and so I've tried it. As it usually goes, the first requests with no history are difficult and were declined. But the first accepted came later and the experience was awesome.
Afterwards I have used Couchsurfing in Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic, Italy and hopefully much more coming later on.
Then there came a switch and I became a host as well. Either at my parents' place in Slovakia or in Brno, Czech Republic where I've studied and worked, I've hosted many times and totally fell in love with it. Cause hosting is a wonderful way how you can travel even though you are still in your own country.
The passion and drive is the key to development and success, I believe. As it usually goes, our interest change as we grow and get to know the world.
Sport has been my biggest interest from my childhood and it continues now. In 2012 I've started jogging from time to time with my friends and attended my first race. I've slowly raised the training volume and made it a bit more important part of my life.
Today I train almost daily and I am happy to face new challenges and border of what I can make and where I can go.
Well, if there's any time left, when I come back home, I love to read. Fiction, non-fiction, biographies, sport books, whatever is there. I have around 200 books in my bedroom and lots of them haven't been read yet, so I need to get better.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
144km ultra marathon race - Štefánik Trail.
Teach, Learn, Share
That's what we are here for, right?
We should "teach, learn, share" in order to get better as individuals, but also a community. To be satisfied and happy.
I have the experience of being a facilitator or trainer during various seminar and it taught me even more than when I was in the position of the attendee. So from that moment I appreciate each and every moment of that knowledge sharing much more.
