Not through this site, but in Morocco I slept at 5 different couches in 3 weeks, This site seems an easier way to find reliable people. profile info helps a lot I think, and the fact that I don't have to meet you in the middle of the night makes it look safer already.

I couchsurfed in south Africa for 2 weeks which was great fun. Meeting some local people and getting to know the area
