About Me

To become a millionaire :-) I wish! Well perhaps to explore the world while i can :-)

Hmm this is the hard bit...Well i guess im a very easy going guy who just loves loves loves to travel :-) Ive been to about 24 countries now, europe, middle east, USA and lots of asia! Im very active, sporty, i love snowboarding, especially when the snow is soft like in Japan! Simply awesome! Im very sociable, love dancing, even used to do breakdancing as a kid lol! Hey it used to be cool back then :-) I dont take life too seriously and make and keep friends very easily as im quite worldy i guess, understanding, compassionate and always treat others with respect and like to learn from others or at times be the advisor...Even though im in my early 40s, im very young at heart so i actually feel like im 21 again - even though my wrinkles say otherwise :) I love sport - any type - both playing and watching. Im quite adventourous as well so im always open to new experiences that i either havent done nor heard of. I always do my best to make others smile and laugh and always make fun of myself to amuse others :-) Other than my fun side, im a computer programmer by trade (develop websites, windows software etc), but im certainly not the geeky type - i must admit i must be in the wrong profession because id say 90% of IT guys just seem to be too boring :(

On another note - here is another way to couchsurf lol

Live life to its fullest - as tomorrow may never come. Be positive, treat every day as your last, and never go to sleep angry at your partner :-) Cherish what we have and embrace change and continually challenge myself and explore the world and learn and embrace difference and cultures as if they were your own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im very new to this, but have had friends that have used this in various parts of the world. So im open to being contacted to host, and also open to trying my luck staying with a stranger in other parts away from Melbourne. That said, im a little cautious about the safety aspects, so i will need to perhaps find out more about you before i either use your couch or allow you to use mine. I really dont want to wake up with my kidneys sold to the black market :-) So please be nice and gentle :-)

Ive hosted 4 times, 1 japanese who is now marrying an aussie guy, let her stay for a month and i helped her get a job close to my place. 1 from china for a week. I still stay in contact with these two. The others were some swedes and a few germans. But they were backpackers who were just passing through and very young, i mean under 20. I prefer people to be at least mid 20s, ideally in 30s, who have some work or more life experience. That way we can share more interesting stories im sure.

Sports (All of them! i love to get involved in as many as i can), Music Festivals (Jazz or House, Electro/Dance), Musuems, interesting and different art, architecture, interesting or unusual animals, oh TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL of course and always learning about new cultures. investing what i have left after travel into property/shares etc

Music, Movies, and Books

Unfortunately i dont really read books, they just make my eyes water :( Give me the movie instead :-) I only read if i really have to like boring IT stuff and of course general stuff online that im interested in. Music - well im into anything and everything. Opera, RnB, Hip Hop, House, Jazz, Trance, Hard Trance, Hard NRG, Metal, Drum N Bass - ill dance and listen to anything thrown at me really. I love listening to all tones and appreciate each of their aspects.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking 6 months off work to travel :-) It was the best experience of my life and would highly recommend it to others if they can afford to do it. I always believe travelling make you a better person, much more knowledgeable, much more understanding of other cultures and allows you to appreciate what you do and dont have in your hometown.

Teach, Learn, Share

Talk about the differences in cultures and how others live around the world. And to always try help people become much more positive in life, regardless of what pains we may have all experienced in the past. Some friends have always said im like 'Tony Robbins', because i always seem to give sound and positive advice and seem to be very strong mentally while others may fall at various hurdles way too easily...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well i have two spare rooms, each with queen beds. I live alone in a 3 bedroom art deco home. I love my freedom, so thats why i dont rent them out. I do however let friends stay when they travel here from interstate or overseas, or when friends need a place in between rental places. So i dont mind helping out for a few weeks, as im kind and helpful in nature.
