ABOUT ME

oh shucks... i kind of contradict myself. i work hard and play hard, but find peace in solitude depending on the day. i don't drink soda, but i do drink whiskey. i love when you lose track of time because you're in good company. i'm an open book. i'll always give you my honest opinion- if you ask for it- but i'll never judge what makes you... you. i quit my job and sold or donated everything i owned at a garage sale and bought a one way ticket to germany. i haven't regretted it for a second. i'm stable, really, i am.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

my cousin told me about cs when i was planning a trip to europe last summer. i love getting a real feel for a place instead of the tourist scam view... people in orlando don't really go to disney world. since i've moved to jena i've met some great people from cs and i try to help other newbies now that i'm not so lost myself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i had a great first couchsurfing experience in brussels and can't think of a better way to make friends from around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Be Here Now- anyone on CS should read it. i'm finally making time to read again so i'm always happy to get/give a book suggestion.
i don't really watch a lot of tv or movies(can't stand "reality" shows but there is some funny stuff these days- daily show, 30 rock, flight of the conchords).
my ipod changed my life. remember when we had walkmans?! i always enjoy hearing new music... i love james brown, thievery corporation, iron and wine, morcheeba, mofro, spam allstars, death cab for cutie, massive attack, lykke li, beach house, feist, tv on the radio, ... anything but country.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

scuba diving in the islands. i feel more connected to all living things as a spectator of the sea than any human experience i've had so far... but i did see a woman squirt breast milk at least 5 feet once.

Teach, Learn, Share

i enjoy teaching ashtanga yoga and giving thai massage. the mind-body connection is absolutely amazing, maybe i can help you release tension you don't even realize you have? or not, your call.

i want to learn how to pronounce words with umlauts. :/
