Hi! We’re Mona and Amir — a couple living in Toronto who love nature, food, and good company. I’m into creative tech and design, and Amir works in animation and illustration, so we spend a lot of time at home working on projects and laughing over coffee.

We’re pretty chill and always happy to meet new people. We go for walks and hikes as often as we can, and enjoying the fresh air. We try to stay active during the week too with some home workouts.

I’m vegan, Amir’s vegetarian, and we’re both big fans of cooking, baking, and eating — especially pizza., pastry and bread! Food is a daily topic around here. When we’re outside, we like taking little photos and videos, and I’m actually hoping to start a YouTube channel soon to share those moments.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because we think the best part of traveling is meeting people. We love sharing meals, stories, little adventures, and just learning how others live. Couchsurfing is such a fun way to connect — we’ve already made some great friends through it, and we’re always excited to meet more!

Interests

We love being outside — walking, biking and hiking when we can, and snapping little photos or videos along the way. At home, we’re usually baking something, working out, talking about food or nutrition, or just relaxing with some music or a good movie/series. We’re always curious and enjoy learning new things, creating stuff, and connecting with kind people. I just started learning piano and Amir is amazing in playing guitar!

Music, Movies, and Books

Our music taste is a little bit of everything — we love lo-fi, ambient, and nightly jazz for chill evenings, and on sunny days we’re all about 60s, 70s, and even some 80s vibes. I’m also into healing frequencies and soundscapes — they help me reset.
We enjoy thoughtful films, series, and documentaries — anything with a good story and nice visuals always gets our attention.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last year we did a 9000 km road trip across Canada — from Toronto to Banff and back! It was full of nature, new friends, campfires, unexpected rain, and some seriously beautiful views in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. Definitely one of our favorite adventures.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you how to bake a fluffy vegan cake, or maybe a few phrases in Persian if you're curious! I also meditate daily and would love to share a peaceful moment or guide a short meditation if you’d like to try it.
As a former sprinter and fitness coach, I’m always up for chatting about your fitness journey — or just sharing tips and fun workout ideas if that’s your thing!
We’re always excited to learn something new — your favorite dish, a song from your country, or a few words in your language. And we love sharing stories, laughs, music, and whatever tasty thing we’ve just made!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Good vibes, easy chats, shared meals, and probably a lot of laughter! We’re clean, respectful, and always grateful to stay with someone.
