About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To meet a Greek grandmother and from her, learn to cook.

ABOUT ME

I am a person of opposites--reflective and quiet, but then boisterous and theatric, often adapting to whatever situation I find myself a part of. I seek the woods for when I need perspective and balance, and enjoy hiking as often as I can. I am an artist, mostly self-taught, with a hankering to write a graphic novel. I would like to learn how to build my own house and vertical garden and DIY my way into a sustainable lifestyle.

I look forward to sharing and learning with the people that I meet.

PHILOSOPHY

Maybe the highest art is nothing more than a circus attraction: finding balance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I visited South Dakota I took part in a Lakota sweat lodge ceremony, and it was the most powerful sensory event I've ever experienced in my life. The burning steam and the sweat of the sage and the thumping drums, shrill singing, and musical crescendos erupted in my ears and throughout my body, and it was far more connecting than anything I've seen in western church services by far. I miss the power of that event and the wide open, undemanding hills of the South Dakota skyline, and the way that stars burn brighter in the countryside.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to share a conversation in Spanish and learn how to sew my own clothes. I can teach the art of cooking vegetarian, or linoleum carving.
