Hi I'm Bea, I live near to NYC in a 3-bedroom home with my senior pitbull Samantha. I find joy in making new friends at every stage of life, and all age ranges.

I hope that hosting on Couchsurfing blends my appreciation for meeting new people with the essence of exploration, even from the comfort of my own home. I'm fairly new to the couchsurfing site but have hosted guests from host-a-sister and I was a 5-star host for Airbnb for a few years. I also use Trusted Housesitters when I travel out of town so that someone can look after Samantha from the comforts of our home so I'm no stranger to strangers :-) When I'm not venturing out into the world myself, you can find me enjoying the simple pleasures of life: perhaps experimenting with a new vegan recipe in the kitchen, or spending quality time outdoors with Samantha at a nearby park.

I live about a 20-minute public commute from Lower Manhattan, NYC and have many friends that visit back and forth. Because I have a lot of space and love to make new friends I think hosting would be fun. Plus, there are so many parts of the world I haven't seen it would be great to make connections in new locations before I go.
