ABOUT ME

***I respond not every message on CS, read the profile for more information before writing me***

My name is Zhanna (pronounced somehow similar to Janna), but you can call me Jeanne (French version, btw, I learn French) or Gianna (Italian way, btw, I also learn Italian) or Jane (English variant) as well. I am ok with all these names.

You may be surprised by my nickname in couchsurfing. The reason is when I was trying different nicknames for signing up, all of them were taken. At some point I saw the cigarettes "BOND" in front of my laptop, and I tried the nickname "msbond", and so it worked. Since then I have this nickname. By the way, I do not smoke. The cigarettes were from my dad.

The last years I have been living in Berlin, but I also work in Nuremberg, therefore every week I go for couple of days to that city. I like to be on the move and travel though I have not been to many countries yet.

I am like a kid: so curios, I love to discover new things. That is one of the reasons why I like traveling and meeting new people. I also do sports (swimming, dancing, yoga, cycling etc.) and learn languages every day. I am into political science, international relations, geography, history, sociology, literature and cinema.

It maybe may seem from this CS profile that I am a party girl and stuff like this, but actually it is not like that, and I am not so much into clubbing. I am a quiet person. Probably, I am rather an introvert but at the same time I am quite sociable. My friends and CSers describe me as spontaneous, independent, friendly, funny and crazy, especially about learning languages. Oh I almost forgot - I am easy-going and open-minded, haha :)

Sometimes I have an impression that some men contact me in CS hangouts or offer me a place to stay because I am a woman, they saw my few photos, liked me and hope to have potentially something more than a nice CS experience. If you have such kind of interest in meeting me - then better do not contact me. CS is not a dating platform.

If you do not support the full freedom, de-occupation, just peace for Ukraine and do not condemn russian war against Ukraine, then better do not contact me. My home Ukraine is very important to me and I am into various pro-Ukrainian activities. If you read my profile till this place, please, include in your message the Ukrainian words "Slava Ukraini", so this way you can be sure that I will answer you.

I do not meet Couchsurfers with no references and very little information on profile. I had enough of meetings when there was not so good match, not so much connection or even not a good experience. A detailed profile with references gives me an idea if our time together would be an enjoyable one.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can't host now, but I surf and meet people for coffee or drink or whatever comes up.
Very often I attended CS meetings, few times in Kyiv, sometimes in Leipzig (where I studied) and when I lived in Valencia and Wroclaw and Nürnberg as well. Now I would like to host in Berlin, but my second room is still not free because my flatmate did not move out yet.
Couchsurfing for me is like one of ways of living, nowadays it is a bit hard to imagine my life without it. I met great people from couchsurfing, and surely there will be more.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Life!...And once I went to a soccer match in Kyiv having a very high fever and a broken hand. Amazing? Rather stupid. But I loved soccer so much at that time. And now? I still do though I do not watch it so often. One of my biggest dreams is to go for a soccer match at the stadium full of people in my home town Kyiv. That would be amazing. So far it is not possible due to every day attacks of drones and missiles of russia on my home.

Languages, of course! I learned Spanish and Polish, more or less I can have a fluent conversation in those languages. I am learning French and Italian every week. Portuguese is also in my list. I can teach you Ukrainian (mother tongue), English, German,... with mistakes :) I know Russian but I don't like speaking it due to russia's ongoing war of aggression against my home country Ukraine.

I would be grateful if I could practice some languages with you or if you could teach me a bit your language.
