ABOUT ME

Hello! I'm Mandy! :]
I'm 18, creeping up on 19. I just recently graduated from high school. I'll be pursuing a degree in Psychology for the next four years. I'm very adventurous, and once I get to know you I'm very outgoing! I like to have fun, and laugh. I usually dance.. but when no one is watching! :P. I was in colorguard for two years, (which is the spinning of flags, wooden rifles [fake ones] and sabers [dulled swords].) and I believe it helped me to define who I am, establish discipline, and build character. I work a lot, perhaps too much, but thanks to my aunt, I always find time to travel. I love Kayaking, and doing extreme things like that. As of 2009, I obtained my scuba diving license. It was an exhilarating experience! I absolutely LOVE to crochet, and I have a knack for web design!!

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life one day at a time. I try to not get worked up about stuff. Sometimes I do, I'll admit it. But I try really hard not to. I'm a firm believer that as long as you remind yourself that it will be okay in the end, it will be. I read a quote that said, "It will all be okay in the end. If it's not okay, it's not the end." Which leads me to this image:

Pain will come, and will seem like it isn't going to end, but you just gotta have a little faith, because enduring the pain will make you stronger.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I participated in the 2009 Couch Surfing Tent Event near Chicago with my aunt! It was really interesting to meet so many different people. I will admit, I was shy at first, but I ended up meeting some really cool people!

Interests

I'm interested in crocheting, reading, writing in my journal, good food, fun people, coffee, and enjoying the outdoors. I like to hike and do exhilarating things, like kayaking and climbing things. I'd like to go skydiving someday! :D

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I have ever seen was a sunken boat when I went scuba diving last year in Curacao.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I am freshly graduated from highschool and soon to be a college freshman, I feel I will be doing more learning than teaching, however I feel I'm rather skilled at spinning a flag, so I think that's something I could teach to someone.
