One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in the Dominican Republic and happened upon a bunch of kids about to start a pick-up baseball game. They were looking for more players and I had played some baseball as a kid, so I jumped in. These 15 and 16 year old kids were phenomenal for just casual players, and things soon got intense. I was wearing shorts, but old habits die hard, and before I knew it I was sliding into second base. Torn up my knee pretty good, and the local antiseptic was a can of leaded gasoline. Still have a bit of a scar to show for it, but it's a reminder of that awesome experience.
