About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Laissez les Bon temps rouler!

ABOUT ME

A traveler. A chatter. A happa. A Californian. A music maker, photo taker, dancer to a good beat. An eager listener of stories. A lover of people, all kinds. A biker and walker. A reader. A gardener. A puppy dog enthusiast. A yoga do-er. A connoisseur of the noble potato chip (sea salt).

PHILOSOPHY

Balance- too much of anything is a bad thing.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in a share house of 7 people with no couch to speak of, so I am still only a surfer. But one day I will have the comfiest couch, or tent, or camper, to pay it back.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met amazing people in Oregon, Washington, New Zealand and Ecuador through this site. I think it's one of the best parts of the internet.

Interests

It's probably easier to say what I'm not interested in- cruelty, bigotry, willful ignorance, hate and apathy. Everything else is all gravy.

Music, Movies & Books

Music: Punch Brothers, Radiohead, Bjork, Prince, Jackson 5, Gustavo Dudamel, Steve Reich and Philip Glass, Bon Iver, St. Vincent, Tune Yards, Colin Stetson, Nirvana, Gillian Welch, Preservation Hall, to name a few. I love that I get to spend the rest of my life discovering new music to inspire me!

Books: LOTR, Lolita, Invisible Man, Angle of Repose, Wind Up Bird Chronicle, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close, East of Eden, Gilead, Guns Germs and Steel, Collapse, The Future Eaters, The Little Prince, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I've met Fidel Castro... That's a good story.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a decent cook, and can probably find you a new band or book to get excited about! Yoga for injuries you might have?
