ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back, adventurous and creative person. I love being outdoors, especially climbing a tree and just lounging in the branches. I'm extremely social and talkative, but I'm also content with sitting in silence while staring at a sunset.. or a campfire.. or the waves on the beach. I have cycled across the US twice now, and it has really inspired me to continue traveling whenever and wherever possible.

PHILOSOPHY

Never settle. I enjoy my life, love my family, my friends, and where I live, but I don't want to ever stop trying something new.

I'm a newbie.. I guess you can consider it a 2012 New Year's resolution. I'm excited to get started!

Interests

Being active, the outdoors, climbing trees, cycling, and any and all sports. Architecture, graphic design, or a nice sunset all make me happy. I love meeting new people, socializing with old and new friends, and my dog, Gunnison. I enjoy trying local foods and beer during my travels, and I am SO passionate about homebrewing beer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cycling across the US.. twice! After riding a bicycle across the country thru smalltown USA, nearly 8000 miles between the 2 trips, I have realized how much more there is outside of North Carolina. I have always been interested in traveling around the world, but the humbling experience of seeing the US in a new way has made me understand how little I have experienced.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching people how to homebrew beer. Oh, and I teach high school graphic design, so I guess I can do that, too.. I'd love to learn a new language. German? Italian?
